I‘ve always envied dudes who could fix things.
Before we got smart and gave it up, my buddies and I could get a project from “needs to be looked at” to “completely ruined” with an incompetence that had to be seen to be appreciated.
We’d skip over the easy stuff like oil changes, or painting a deck, and charge straight into carburetor rebuilds and plumbing. In the end, we’d take twice as long and spend five times as much than if we’d just got qualified help.
In fact, eyewitnesses will tell you that the occasion Chris, DJ and I tried to retile the bathroom was like discovering a previously unreleased Three Stooges film.
