W e’re all too dashed fat.
In this push-button world, everyone’s pooped, but it’s all brain-dead stuff: too much email, Facebook, binge-watching, texts, tweets, microwave dinners and super-sized drive-thrus.
I’m as guilty as anyone:
- We spent thousands on a treadmill when outside is free. And neither gets used.
- I hesitate on buying mangos because they’re a bit pricey, but I’ll buy the $18 Holy Roman Empire Sized tub of popcorn at the movies…
- I lift weights, but I’m producing muscle (er, sort of) that serves no purpose other than lifting more weight…
Grandpa never complained about getting fat. He worked with his back and ate about two meals a year in restaurants.
There’s a lesson there…
